We Won $30,000!
On Thursday, April 10, 2014, we claimed Gorham Savings Bank LaunchPad‘s $30,000 entrepreneurial promotional prize!
This year, we competed against over 100 other applicants! Each finalist had only seven minutes to pitch their business idea, and were judged on everything!
LaunchPad Gets It
“In order to meet demand and grow the company, Bixby & Co. must switch their current technique to a scaled up production process. Currently Kate, her two parents and local help make and wrap all Bixby Bars by hand… The LaunchPad award will allow Bixby & Co. to purchase equipment for more efficient refrigeration and more efficient bar making methods as well as purchase melting tanks to ensure continuous flow of chocolate.” – Gorham Savings Bank LaunchPad
Our Plan: new equipment!
With this prize, we hope to be able to improve quality, manufacturing speed, and consistency of our product. This prize is exactly what we needed to boost our product to the next level.
